I have a star wars question?

I am a star wars fanatic! I love all star wars fights, but I am concerned? Both the original and prequel lightsaber fights are very intensive that have some fast moves and slow moves, but how come the prequel trilogy has more acrobatic fighting styles than the original trilogy has very little acrobatics to it?

The first Star Wars picture was gonna be a real flop. Not one of the major studio heads put up finance for this turkey!

George Lucas had to fund the whole thing himself - so money was really tight. Since there was no studio, there were no distributors - Lucas had to find most of the cash personally for a limited distribution.

The rest is movie history.

Those studio heads were shot at dawn - or at least they might have wished they were. The 3 original Star Wars films made BILLIONS of dollars.

Everybody was excited by that film. Everybody wanted a part of it. They made more from sale of toys and associated gadgets - come on - they sold Star Wars cereal!

Anyway - with money so short, special effects were very limited and handled in-house. Small company called Industrial Light & Magic (yeah - *that* ILM !)

ILM then went on to invent processes for some of the best SFX ever for a wide range of movies and TV shows. But right at the start - the SFX in Star Wars (Ep. IV: A New Hope) were done as cheap as possible.

High jumps came in in Ep V: The Empire Strikes Back - the success of the first SW movie generated loads of money for Mr Lucas - he bought his ranch... and the rest is history
