when my music isnt even turned on. i dont think its the wiring. Do u think cause its a real small amp hooked up to it? im gonna keep the amp for 2 months. Do u think it can damage the sub? thanks
Sounds like the amp is going into protect mode due to being hooked up at a lower ohm rating that it is stable at.
Underpowering a sub will not do any damage, otherwise you could never lower the volume, but a small amp being forced clip it signal will damage a sub. Either the amp is not hooked up to the right ohm rating, the sub has a broken terminal connector.
you may need to use a capacitor. thats what my husband did when he had his amp and subs hooked up in his car, he used the cap to keep the stereo and speakers from flickering when he started the car up
