Today a few hours ago, my friends and I decided to go jogging together. I'm 14 and i don't jog much. We jogged for 15 minutes and then my friend asked me if i wanted to wrestle him. I did and it was exhausting. By the time we stopped we were out of breath, had bruises, and had some cuts on our lips. I knew i pushed myself to the limit wrestling my friend but i kept on jogging afterward. After 40 seconds of jogging i couldn't go on, so we just walked, while i was walking out of nowhere my calf muscle tensed up and i fell on the ground yelling because of the pain. It was the second worst pain i have ever experienced, my first being a perforated ulcer on my stomach. My foot for some reason was pointed downward, i could not move it up. My calf was flexed, and it felt like someone had jabbed a screwdriver into it. On a scale of 1 to 10 the pain was a 9 out of 10. This has happened to me before, my gym teacher made us do leg workouts and after we were done i sat on a bench and when i tried to get up my calf had the same thing. My dad thinks it is a cramp, i think he is right but i would like a second opinion. I have had foot cramps but they do not compare to these calf cramps. Also what should i do to prevent this from happening again. I want to continue jogging but should i stop? Should i stretch before i jog? Or is it because of something entirely different?
