I have a Sanyo camera and it won't copy the videos to windows maker!? :(?

I've been dieing to make a video and edit it on windows maker but when download the file and the folder pops up i can see the videos but when i open the folder on windows maker the folder's empty and once i found it and i clicked it but it also said that the file was not supported or that it's not valid. What's wrong with my camera? Do i have to use a different editor? It needs to end with .MPG or Mp2. but my camera doesn't put them like that. It's puts it with . MOV.- Please help me out-
