ok so i flashed my alltel blackberry over to cricket.. and i was wondering if the phone would work in areas the cricket does not have any service in. but where you can get alltel????

No, if it was flashed to ckt, it is on that network now.

alltel will still have its brand in the fone, but if it was flashed, it won't go to alltel's network

It may depend on where you are and what plan you have. Cricket just started allowing customers with the $50 and $60 plans to have unlimited talk in certain areas. It's a part of the new extended roaming plan that allows customers to roam in Metro PCS areas without using roaming minutes. Cricket has partnered with 15 different companies for this roaming area that will last for the next 10 years. If one of the partners grows, so does the roaming area. In triband areas, you will need a tribrand phone. You should check with you local Cricket indirect store. If you go to a main Cricket store, you will be told that nothing is garunteed becasue you aren't using a Cricket phone. Just check anyway as to where you will be covered in your part of the country and sign up for the correct rate plan to do the unlimited roaming.
