In the 1970's scientists pretty much agreed we were heading toward another ice age... less than 30 years later we are experiencing "global warming". Climatologists study weather patterns in history but the time frames they use are in millions of years. They have no idea how many times the earths temp rose or fell 20 degrees for a 500 year period.
