I have a question about my new blackberry for sprint.?

My blackberry 8350i for nextel won't send/receive any messages... But it just happened out of the blu... Like when I go to send a message it shows a red x and when i try to receive a message it tells me who it's from but it tells me it could not receive a message... Any help?
