My boyfriend is graduation from bootcamp this coming week and his grandmother wants me to give him a laptop he mentioned he wanted. Will they let him accept it from us or will I need to send it to him when he gets to his job training location.? If you could help that would be awsome!! Thanks so much!

They can have electronics after they graduate.
You may have to hold on to it until the day after his graduation, but most places will let them take it as soon as the ceremony is done.
Should have no problems what so ever....

Hope this helps...GOOD LUCK!!!

My daughter recently graduated from Basic Training at Ft. Hood. When we went to the graduation, we brought her laptop to her and she took it with her to AIT. No problem at all. Just make sure he hand carries it instead of checking it at the airport, if he flies.

once he has graduated from boot camp, then he is free for a day or so and then off to trade / tech school.

The rules on laptops / cell phones are dropped at this point and he would be able to have it, [will not have much time in trade school to use it and they DO have a lot of places he can use to get on the internet so it might be better to wait till he is out of tech / trade]

When my husband graduated from boot camp I brought him his cell phone but he wasn't allowed to take it at that time. I had to ship it to him a little later when he went to his next place for training. So, my experience was different than the other people who answered on here. I guess it can go either way.
