You do the crime, you do the time! Sorry buddy, but you apparently have absolutely NO idea what effect a burglary has on people! Losing stuff you steal is the LEAST part of it! You violate their homes, you traumatise people, and there are some people who NEVER get over it. Whether you are a bad person or not is irrelevant here. Nice person, bad person, you broke the law. Stand up, be a man, admit you did what you did because YOU wanted to do it, and tell the magistrate or whatever that you are ready to take what he considers a just punishment. And tell him you will absolutely never do it again.
