I have a Panasonic cordless phone with two handsets. I went downstairs to find the one handset with its LED light on it would not go off. Also the printing on the LED panel was frozen and would not clear. I picked up the handset and it was red hot. I took out the battery and that's actually what was making it hot. The battery was very hot. So I took everything apart, let it sit overnight, and now it seems to be OK. What could have caused it to do this?
