I have a problem, I'm turning 16 and I want to get a kawasaki ninja, but which one?

I want to get the 500r but i know that the 250r is better to start on, however if i get the 250 i will probably want to upgrade to the 500r next year, which do you think i should get? Anyone else had the same problem?

get a cheap used 250r then when you want to upgrade get the 500.
