I have a prepaid att go phone model: razr How can I be able to use the phone in Europe?

I need a phone that can recieve and make calls while in Europe, I will b there for three weeks and I would like to keep my same phone and for sure keep my same phone number. Is there a way of doing this? If I go into the att store will they be able to modify my phone somehow and still be able to have a prepaid plan? Thanks for any info or any suggestions.
