I have a Panasonic cordless set. I use AAA size rechargeable Ni-MH battery for the set.?

Robert W is thinking about NiCd batteries.

Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) use a different chemistry and do not develope cadium crystals, thus they do not exhibit a "memory effect".

You can keep the phone on the base when not in use. The base has a smart charger, and will not over charge the batteries.

those are the batteries that develop a memory. If you keep it in the base you will have a short memory. It's best to let it go down until it says recharge, then put in the base until it's completely charged.
Li-on batteries are the opposite
