matrix (09' 25k).? my commute to work is about 27 miles from central to north jersey.i have a transmission problem with my old car(honda) which will cost about 1800$ to change a new transmission from a local auto shop. i take the new car for commute for 3 days and the old one for 2 days. my wife uses the car for local shopping alone, when i leave the other car at home. my question is
1.should i sell my old car and buy another which is going to cost about 5000$, keeping in mind that i'm not using the same car for the whole week commute. or.
2. should i just change the transmission?, if so, how well can i use my car for commute after the new transmission?. or in what pattern of taking the two cars for commute is advisable the whole week. can i stick with "3 days new car and 2 days the old one" or just leave the old car at home but again i dont want to mess the new car for commute?. any advise.....................
