Ok My maintenance came on at 5000 miles, I assume this is a change oil reminder, how do I reset the warning Maintenance required? I have already changed the oil at 4000, it said 5000, but I have always changed my oil at 3000 in the past.
I read the manual and found it , it took me awhile just wasn't sure where to find that exact thing, it was as simple as turning the ignition to the on position and holding the odometer button for 5 seconds, and yes the main req is just an oil change reminder, I thought when i asked this question it was all toyotas that maybe were the same as far as this indicator light, I see i was wrong, but thank you anyway, and doing as you said even though I didnt want to read all through that worked.

Always refer to the owners manual for the appropriate oil change intervals. It's the lube company that's profiting from changing oil a bit early. Nowadays, motors are more durable as long as there's no substantial oil starvation. Check with the dealer in resetting your "Maint Reqd" light.

there is a panel on the dash board by the left side of the door if you pull the panel off there is a reset button that says reset push it and the light should go off. i have the same problem after an oil change. as was stated before owner's man. good luck
