I have a netgear wireless router and am trying to set a password?

I am trying to lock my device. Here is what I'm doing

Set Password
enter old password: password <- what I had to enter upon entering the settings of the device
enter new password: blahblah
enter new password: blahblah

[Apply]

- Your password is incorrect!



Am I doing something wrong?
