I have a Mazda MX-3 GS and I have a problem with it not idling.?

I can unplug the MAF sensor and it will idle fine, but it will die if I push on the gas. But with it plugged in, it will start and then die if you are not pushing the gas. I replaced the MAF sensor, but it is still doing this. Any ideas?
