I have a lot of questions about my car stereo?

Well i have a corvette with Bose Delco speakers and i read that they have built in amps so you need a special deck for it? Is this true? I also heard there is an adapter for it is this true? I also heard the quality is bad with this adapter? and the last one how can i tell if my deck in there, since it isn't stock, is capable with the speakers or if its using the adapter? Its a Pioneer DEH P2000 deck
