I know a little about car stereo but not much and I just like bass. so i have a 2 ohm 0815L7 and was wondering should i purchase an amp that can do 1000 watts rms at 2 ohms or would it be ok to have it wired at 1 ohm at 1000 watts rms. also if a amp is rated at 1000 watts rms despite the deceiving name such as boss2200 (550 rms) what is the difference between it and a JL amp that also pushes 1000 rms but is 600 more? in addition i was wondering if it would be safe to put 1500 watts rms and if you think you have the right amp in mind for me to purchase just throw it out there and why. thanks
I was actually powering it with a rockford t1000 1bd but it just wasn't doing the job
