i have a kenwood amp kac 8104d 2 ohm stable - 500 watts and i bought a kicker

cvr 12 dual coil? i want to know if i have to wire the sub paralel,series or just leave it nomal and if is a good set,because i had a 12 inch. kenwood 4ohm 400 watts rms and i blwe it,my amps hits 300 watts at 4ohm dont know why it blew because the sub handles 400 rms and the amp 300
ps the kicker is 2ohm dual coil and the amp is 2ohm stable
 
if you wire your sub in parallel then your amp will be running at 2 ohms. which is what you want. the lower you can go on ohms the better. if an amp it 2 ohm stable, then at 2 ohms it will hit the absolute hardest it can.
as far as blowing your sub... just watch your cone excursion and listen for distortion.
