...back do insurance brokers look? My license was revoked in 2001in pa. I have been living in va and recently got my license restored in va. Will insurance base my rate off of bad decisions, dui's, I made 8 years ago or will they be forgiven. I am buying a car from someone tomorrow and am really nervous about what my rates will be. If anyone can shed some light on this info I would greatly appreciate it.

usually five years but check with the insurance agent. You are paying him a lot of money, let him work for it
