I have a Greek Motorcycle license. Now in the UK, without a bike, total expenses...

...until I am on the road? I am under the impression I don't need any more paperwork to legally get on the road as far as having a license.

So, will I need just to buy a motorcycle and insurance to get on the road?
 
had a chat with my mate panos, he says you can ride on greek licence as its an eu country, not sure how long you can ride that way for, he also said if you send it in to dvla they change it for a uk one but i would check on that by going to the dvla web site also how long you can drive on your greek one for, he has had a uk one for over 18 years ,
