I have a friend whom I chat with, but he always sticks with the same topic?

He also stays on the same boring topic lol, how can I steer the conversation into another direction in a non-rude manner? And I don't know what subject to talk to him about? What do guys like to talk about (other than girls, partying, drinking, games, etc.)? I want to engage in a good, clean, interesting conversation, but how? & how would I introduce the topic?
 
Sorry to sound harsh, but you might be barking up the wrong tree. It's been my experience that most people these days simply don't engage in meaningful conversation.
I'd recommend hanging out in places where people use their brains, libraries, book stores, Hole in the wall coffee shops.
 
sorry to say but if you cant naturally find a topic you both have in common, then probably not going to be the best of friends, everything would be forced. ive had girls try allot to start conversations with me and be my friend. it doesn't click, they always end up outta my life. Sorry, just personal experience!
