I have a friend who went to boot camp what should i do in this situation?

Friend left for boot camp bout a month ago and broke up with his girl... girl has always seemed to like me and has been talking to me a lot recently... at first i was like ok cant do this its my friends ex...but now im kinda starting to really like her... if i go for her then 1, she may just have been being really nice to me then that would make a friendship awkward and buddy will be pissed if he still likes her... but on the other hand ive been single for a will and this might be one to settle down wit.....what should i do?
 
Go for it man. If your buddy dumped her, that left her open game for anyone. She is expressing intrest in you, so I would go for it.
