HI, I have a ford focus 53 plate only dont 50k on the clock. only had it for about 2 months but for a couple of weeks now i get in my car 8:30am to go to work and it is impossible to put my car into gear. I have had to turn my car off, put it in gear and then turn the car back on so i am actually able to take off. when I am down the road the car seems to have warmed up and gear shifting is fine it only seems to be in the morning when the car is cold. its a real pain! gonna call a mobile mechanic 2moro to come look at it but just wondered if anybody had any ideas? it literally wont budge into any gear!

The clutch system is self adjusting. But the slave cylinders develop leaks very often. Also as the clutch wears more fluid is needed to take up the slack.
So try adding fluid to the clutch system.
If you have a cable that operates the clutch, then it is also self adjusting, but with age they tend to fray and stretch. I do not think you have a cable, but if you do think about getting it replaced.
Long term note:
One reason that a slave starts leaking is that the clutch is worn to the point that the slave is near the limits of a good seating surface. This leak will come right back with a new slave. It is not unusual to need a clutch in the 50K mileage range. So think about pricing clutch work with in the next year. Till then just keep the system filled with brake fluid, and give it a few pumps before starting out in the morning.
