I had this eratic boyfriend who always showed up at his convenience, and was never short of excuses and stories to tell me every time he couldnt see me. He knew I had access to the family money. so he asked to borrow, and I lent him a substantial amount of money, then few days later he said that his credit crunch drama is still there he needed more, so I took out a large bank loan, and gave it to him, half cash, and the other half cheque. In the main time he agreed to write, and sign a letter stating that the money was borrowed for his benefit, and he takes responsibility for paying installements, and interest generated uppon it. so far he only paid one installement, and missed many. No need to say the initial loan has not been paid back yet. He is a broker, and deals in finding buyers for football clubs, and has many high profile clients. I was embarassed to ask for my money back at first, slowly I m starting to adopt a harsher tone, but it seems that his excuses are only stretching, and he has become immune to my demands. I m starting to worry I might never see my money again. what is the best way to recover it .Do I go to the small claims court, Do I hire a solicitor. I dont know what to do for the best. Please help, and tell me if legally, I can recover my cash.Thank you.
