I have a dog that gets cold in the winter and need advice on buying him clothes?

My dog gets cold in the winter to the point where he shivers. I've never bought him clothes before and so I wanted some advice or views on what to buy him.
 
Well depends iff he is something like a German shepard Or a poodle because they have massive diffrences in the size. Anyway i have a toy poodle and we bought that a coat and that always keeps it warm
 
Anything you think looks comfortable and warm. Sweaters are nice. I have a friend that makes turtle necks out of tube socks. I mainly have hoodies for my little Yorkie and Maltese. I also let their hair grow out more in the winter months. They love the snow but they shiver their poor little rear ends off and if they don't have something on the snow forms snowballs on their bellies that are almost impossible to get off!
