I have a DivX Media file in the .avi format. I'm burning a DVD. Will it work in my

DVD player? It worked in Windows DVD Maker (but DivX is installed)

I don't think my DVD player has the codec thing (there is no DivX logo on it) Will it work??

Most likely not. DVD has a very specific directory structure and the media stream itself is contained in an mpeg2 container. DivX is mpeg4. avidemux2 will convert it to the proper DVD mpeg container. Then you can probably run it through your DVD maker to build the menus.
