I have a digital TV but I can't get anything when I switch from anolog to digital?

fatboydi - It does say the digital signal is low . . but I guess I figured that since we went digital last week, that I would be able to switch from analog to digital. Guess I don't really fully understand what digital means! Actually, I don't understand it at all!
wilder - as I said in my edit, I really don't understand all this digital stuff! And you just proved me right!
 
possibly the signal is too weak for the digital picture to work.. analogue isn't as fussy, and will work in most conditions, digital is either "all or nothing" try fitting an aerial booster or upgrading your aerial.
 
The menu for your television should have an option to "scan" for digital channels. It could take a while for the TV to do that, but once it's done, you should get all the channels you used-to get. Check the instruction book for your television. But I don't understand what you think you are DOING to "switch" from analog to digital. There is no switching between mode for your television. The SWITCH occurred at the television stations, when they switched from analog broadcasts to digital broadcasts. If you live VERY far away from where the television station towers are (e.g., you depended on re-broadcast/repeaters) it is POSSIBLE that you are not getting a strong enough signal for the television to work properly, but - again - the scan routine for your television will show that it cannot "find" the channels.
