I have A debate in History class this week and This question is being proposed to me.?

"If the people of the state of Virginia did indeed have the power to locate the federal courts, determine how many there would be, and appoint judges - as you anti-federalists suggest - what would stop the judicial system from becoming a political institution? What types of decisions do you honestly believe would be handed down by such a state-controlled court system? Don't you see the need for national judges who concentrate their energy on national issues and on the problems associated with being American citizens rather than Virginians?"

Any thoughts on how I could counter this statement??
