...she (and I) does/says. Help? Please read the whole thing if you plan on answering.
Ok, so there's this really nice girl that I almost barely noticed was in my class. Neither of us are popular, and we've got the highest grades in the class, but we're not both brainy (although she thinks I'm the smartest of us). After our teacher finally let us sit in our own seats, i moved up to the front. A few seconds later, she plopped down next to me. We started talking about how old our teacher was (she would've been older than dinosaurs!). It was good, we laughed. I thought that she was just being friendly, and I was ok with that.
Then, a few weeks later, we both forgot our calculators, and there was only one left in the Math office. So we shared. We were on the same equation when we both tried to grab the calculator, but instead, grabbed each others hands. We held it for around seven seconds, then I let go and nudged it to her. So we were acting a bit cute to each other, which I interpret is good.
Then our teacher got sick and had to leave us for the rest of the year. The school then went through 2 weeks of examining possible teachers, while we got daily subs. So, after the 3rd lesson about the same damn equation, I said to her, "You know, I think i'm starting to develop abandonment issues or something" She giggled. A lot. Good, I suppose.
Then we started playing variants of tic tac toe. The one that needs interpretation was 3T, a 3d tic tac toe game. She started talking about one of her guy friends, how he was playing this and didn't understand that the 3 boards were 1 game. She kept talking about him a lot, and I kept in nodding. I don't know if she was trying to get me jealous and ask her out, or if she was trying to make me think that she was taken. (she's not taken, btw) Then, as soon as the bell rings, she bolts out the door. Not running, but walking very fast. Normally, we walk together towards our next class, because hers is 2 rooms away from mine. I'm pretty sure she didn't have a project or essay for that class, because it was the teacher who teaches her class, is lazy, and doesn't give a crap if assignments are months late. This has happened a couple times, and I don't think about it too much, because she can still move where she sits for this class.
Finally, the long term sub comes in, and we cant play anymore 3T. The sub asks us who we are and what we like, and I said enthusiastically, "My name if *blahblah* and I like MATH!" Only my crush laughed, and a few people chuckled. Since the sub, we haven't had another calculator moment, because there is now too many of the calculators in the math office. We kinda sit there like 2 owls, not talking much. We ask what the other person got for some answer, but that's about it. So now, I interpreted this as she's either waiting for me, or too involved in working problems. Then again, I've been trying to give her signs, and maybe she's scared of reading them wrong.
Today, we started brushing our legs together, but neither one of us jumps away from the other, nor being forceful. This contradicts what had happened in the past few days.
So tomorrow, i'm going to guess a movie that she hasn't seen, and she'll hopefully say "No, but I want to." or "No, none of my friends will go with me to see it," so then I'll ask if she wants to see it with me. Yes or no, I'll be fine with it. I would just want to know if she's ok with me.
So 3 questions.
What do you think she's been thinking?
What do you think that she thinks that I'm thinking of?
Is it possible that it's just pheromones and hormones clouding our/my/her judgment?
Neither of us are ugly. In fact, if you need a picture to help you with your answer, I'll supply one.
