...blew but I had that fixed,? the intake manifold, the entire engine flushed and basically a tune up, new brakes and a new battery. It ran for about two weeks then the check engine light came on and the error code read either a loose fuel cap or something to do with the vacuum?? Someone said it could be the egr valve? would this cause a car not to start??

While turning the key click twice like your gonna start it, but don't turn the engine over. Next, listen for a buzzing sound coming from underneath the vehicle either from the rear or near the middle, you should hear a buzzing noise coming from your fuel pump, you should hear it engaging to build pressure in the fuel tank, if you don't hear anything, it could be anything from an electrical connection to failure of the fuel pump. Some of them are a bitch to replace, I've done about 3-4. Good luck!!

Fuel cap or vacuum..sounds like an EVAP code (evaporative emmisions). No this would not cause a no start (high idle or gas smell). And neither would the egr valve (may cause rough idle). Does the engine turn over and not start or does nothing happen when you turn the key to start?
