I have a brand new 2008 dodge ram and both keys quit working today. why?

it started fine this mornin, it was parked ALL day, the battery is fully charged and now nothing happens when i turn the key. cant unlock or lock doors with key fob, and remote start doesnt work. i would call the dealer but they are closed so if anyone can answer b4 tomorrow please do, its drivin me nuts tryin to figure it out.

i would say a computer problem, but very unusual with an 08 ram.
nothing happens when you put actual key in ignition? some remote key fobs go bad on newer vehicles, hope i was a bit of help

Your keys have a computer chip bult in them
so you will have to take them to your dealer and get them re programed
I don't know why they mest up but can put the wrong key
in and will mest it up. Then you have to get it re program

It's your immobilizer. Basically the electronic theft protection that prevents someone from starting your car unless they have the key with a chip in it that you have. Sometimes these chips crap out, and you just change the key. Sometimes it's your immobilizer itself, and then it's more expensive to replace. Since neither key will work, I'd say it's the immobilizer itself.
