Dry skin itch - try using a bland moisturiser or bath oil to keep the skin soft and moisturised.

Sarna lotion moisturises and helps stop the itch, but it smells a bit medicinal

im suffering itching now. it started 4weeks ago and the doctor, dermatologist, just brushed it aside gave me some lotion to rub in my skin after bathing. i dont want to do.

Dry skin from the weather, new laundry detergent, new clothing that hasn't been washed, new soap, something in the bath/shower water....could be any nuraber of things.

I would say probably dry skin..... my skin is extremely itchy right now... it happens to me every winter. Start using a moisturizing body cream for dry skin.

Hello, my doc said it was stress and not sleeping didn't help to calm down, so if that is your situation solving that could help...
on the practical field, you can try:
- washing your bed sheets with baby detergent
- avoid hot water when you take a shower
- after shower use baby oil or creams with oatmeal/almond oil
- prefer cotton clothes
Best!

thanks for the reply.

yes, the doctor gave me oatmeal oil and soap.

the real reason why i get this is because of the steroid nasal spray im using for my allergic rhinitis. im taking it for 4months now.

Codiene will do that. Are you taking any cough medicine? Any pain medicine?

Dry skin this time of year is usually the cause.

hello mollo05. Does you'r itching get worse at night, that's when i start my itching and it keeps me awake,at night. i usually get to
fall asleep just before daylight. if any one can please help.

I don't know what it is but I have it. I've been to numerous doctors and they can find nothing. I take zyrtec and I do not itch anymore. I take it once a day. I have to take the name brand because the off brand doesn't stop the itching. Last week I stopped the zyrtec for 3 days and on the 3rd day I was up to itching all over again. So I started it back Maybe give the zyrtec a try...
