About Using The Wifi On This Phone? As I mentioned above, I have the Blackberry 8520 black and my service provider is T-Mobile.
Before purchasing this phone I had a regular phone but that one broke, so I just out right bought this phone 2nd hand and placed my SIM card in the back of it. Everything works fine, (phone calls, texting, etc..) but I do not have a data plan (meaning internet service on my phone.) This phone does come w/ wifi capability. What I want to do is know if it is possible to browse the internet on my Wifi network here @ my house w/ out having a data plan. It will show that I am connected to the network but when I open up the browser on my phone it will say "Upsell required", is this because I do not have a data plan? Am I not allowed to connect because I do not have a data plan? Am I doing something wrong? Step by Step information or information regarding this would greatly be appreciated.
