I have to do a project on Active and Passive Transport and this is what my teacher said "take or find pictures of at least two examples of each of the three types of passive transport and each of the three types of active transport" now my question is what are the three types of active and passive transport *sweat drop* ehehehehe help me A.S.A.P please!

Passive: Diffusion, Osmosis, and Facilitated Diffusion.

Active: Endocytosis, Exocytosis.

That's all I have but it helps. :]

Passive transport does not require energy. So......when you spray perfume in one corner of the room and eventually the other corner of the room can smell it...that's simple diffusion, which is passive transport. There's also osmosis, which is something like O2 passing through the cell membrane. And there's facilitated diffusion, which uses channels like aquaporins that help water get through the cell membrane. Active transport requires energy. This could be in the form of ATP, an example of which would be the sodium-potassium pump in the cell membrane, or in the form of an electrochemical gradient, like the proton pump in the cell membrane or the sodium-glucose pump.
