i have a 99 Toyota Camry and curse control not working right. please help?

i have a 5 spd 99 camry. when i press the cruse control button the green light turns on and never blinks. i just cant set the cruse control. when i press the button again the light will turn off. any one know how to fix this or anthing on what i could do.
 
You should take it in there are many things it could be. You should buy American cars and trucks so the china government does not pass us up. but yes there are a lot of things that can be and it would be hard to say without being able to check it out.
