...head lights stay on though? before id be driving and it would shut off then turn back on by itself and it did that a few times yesterday and then i tried to turn it back on and it wouldnt turn on .it would shut off right when i let go of the key its a 99 TL with only 60k on it
 
Battery cable connections are loose, or corroded.

Check your engine oil level.
I know GM uses a low oil pressure switch to shut off the engine if you lose oil pressure. But I'm not sure about Acura.
 
I had a similar problem years ago. It was an electrical issue in my steering column. After it was fixed, I was advised to "lighten the load" on my key ring.

However, a friend of mine also had the same issue and it turned out to be his alternator. Yet another, it was the fuel injection and fuel pump.

So, it's a toss up. Just make sure you get it checked out ASAP before you get stranded at a most inconvenient time!

May I suggest you "call" a few mechanic/garages first to get numerous ideas as to what might be wrong BEFORE you take it in to be repaired, that way you and your vehicle are not taken for a "ride"...

its complicated it seems to me that the gas pump is not doing its job,or gas distribution is bieng cut off everytime you start and flow in again without warning. difinitely it is an electrical problem.
