at speeds of 50 mph or more.? The spark plugs and wires have been replaced and eliminated the problem for about a week, but now the problem has returned. Also, the check engine light has been coming on intermittently.
The spark plugs were replaced because the DTC's indicated a misfire in one of the cylinders. Could the problem be a clogged fuel filter?
 
The problem could VERY well be the filter. At increasing engine loads/speeds a partially clogged filter can restrict the fuel flow from the tank to the engine. The filters aren't hard to replace and are not expensive.
