i have a 97 pontiac bonneville and the car will not start,what could be the problem?

i was driving and while i was driving the car start making the stuttering noise with the engine and it starts to slow down while i still had my foot on the acceleration going 60 miles and than it start jerking so than i pulled in at a gas station and parked it tuned it off looked under the hood than started it again and reversed it and it just shut down
