My head is really warped and has crack in between two of the valves...need to get a new one from the junk yard. What years will bolt Right on with out modification.I was told by a guy that 96 and newer but i thought the 4.0 was not altered for over 15 years any help would be great, thanks

in addition-I would like to purchase like a 87 or 88, 89 or so head because they are much easier to locate.

Okay, before you listen to a bunch of people give you different advice, just do this...

go to INTERSTATECARPARTS.COM!!!

The site will tell you exactly what years will bolt up to your car. You will need to search by your car's make model and year, but if you do this you will be redirected to the inventory page. This page will let you know the years that will match your ride.

Jeeps are all fairy common, but you must also remember, you want a newer head, because the less miles you have on the new engine, the less problems you will run into.

Good Luck

Tim
