i have a 95 chevy caprice not firein at the plugs?

i have checked at the plugs to see if it was fireing and it wasn't,so i checked the coil and it is sendin fire out of the coil. could it be my cap are could it be something else?oh it has a 5.7 in it and it is a tuned port injection motor . thanks for any help

Its either your spark plug or your wires. while the car is off, pull a spark plug wire and turn the car on and hold it to a clean ground source body like the engine block, body or frame if it reaches, if you see a spark, then that ones good, shut the car off, plug it back in, unplug another, repeat. Make sure you turn the engine off in between or you're going to get 50,000 volts to your finger. Not a great feeling. wont kill you but try your best to avoid that.

If you feel its a little risky, then don't do it.

Sounds like you need a new Cap and Rotor, you should do the plugs and wires too.

Could be the ignition coil or [ ignition module] distributor cap.

more than likely its either the cap contacts have worn off or the rotor button contact has worn

some time the new plugs could be defective or not design for ur vehicle. get another set and try again.

Take your dist cap off and look for carbon trace inside.and carbon contact in centre of cap may be bad.Good luck
