I have a 94 pontiac fire bird with a 3.4L Auto Trans with acceleration problems?

the acceleration was slow and it wouldnt go pass 2800 rpm and so i decided cleaning the injectors and changing fuel filter and it finally ran great but 3 days after it was the same problem again some told me i could have damaged the fuel pump by leaving it near empty others said the injectors might need another cleaning due to the way the bottom of the fuel tank is dirty what do you recommend changing fuel pump or cleaning the injectors again help please? by the way i dont have a catylic
 
Check the injectors again and if they are dirty again I would put another in line fuel filter near the engine. I doubt that its your fuel pump.
 
1 is car tuned up
2 check engine lite...your computer is probably on "limp home" mode because of 02 sensor/cat converter modifications
3 always good idea to keep enough fuel in tank...running out can damage pump and injectors
 
yeah I would say it's not the injectors or the fuel pump, it has to do with not having the cat. You have no back pressure on the engine and therefore and I know it sounds weird, you have no power, and if you do it's sluggish as hell. put the cat back on and see the difference.
