engage...drive or reverse...? Does anyone have any ideas. I have checked the transmission fluid at normal operating temp, with the car in neutral, and the fluid level is good. Don't worry if the answer is a little technical...I am pretty savvy...I have just never had this problem before. It feels as if the tranny is in neutral and will not engage the gears. Please help!!!???

Now I don't know for sure, but it could be that the shifting cable has come loose and is not shifting the trans into gear. that is one idea. The only other thing that comes to mind is that model's trans shifting is controlled by the computer and don't quote me on this, but you might also try disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery and leave it off for about 10 minutes and this will reset the computer, If that works I would get it in the shop and have it checked before you drive it somewhere and get stranded. Good luck.
