it will work...but going from 6 to 8 requires lots of work and money...radiator...totally new exhaust...maybe front springs...computer,,if going to all the trouble get a 350 from a car...the 305 is a slug..built low compression and low rpm for moving the heavy truck...your not gona get 350 power like you want...or do you?
