without the year of the motor? The problem is the starter isn't quite catching the flywheel right and making a horrible grinding noise..I tried shimming it but it didn't do any good. Looks like the teeth on both are good so I am going to just try to replace the starter with a new one. But i do not know the year of the motor, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am pretty sure the motor was out of a chevy and it didnt come with it. It is carbuerated and the starter looks brand new...im guessing maybe the starter just isn't the right one but it bolts flushly up to the flywheel
