I have a 82 Dodge with the motor out of a 76 coronet put into it.?

I bought a 82 Dodge D150 and the motor of out this car was put into it. 225 slant 6. I have put a new fuel pump, and got the carb worked on. It ran good after I got out of shop for hours of driving. On way home it just powered down and shut off. Had to pour gas in carb to get started again. What are suggestions??
