I am going to be gutting this truck out and i want to replace the old 350 with a newer 6.6 or some diesel and i was wondering will it bolt up or is there a kit out there that i can use. If i have to fabricate thats no problem. i just don't want to waste my time on something if i don't have to.

I would stick with the 350 if your tranny is ok, 350's are cheap to rebuild. If you really have to go with the diesel then try and find a complete one out of a wreck including tranny and transfer case if yours is a 4x4, you'll have to change the driveshaft(s) and go to a heavy duty rad, motor and tranny mounts may be different, also the diesel is heavier so you'll probably have to upgrade your front springs. You will also want to get all of the computer wiring and components if it's a newer one, you'll also need fuel tank, fuel pump and exhaust. It's a lot of work but it can be done.
