yeah so i have a 5 litre freshwater (no heater) tank (in Australia so i don't know how many gallons that is..) and I have 2 zebra danio fish. I want to buy two more fish but don't know if i can have that many in my tank and what species to buy???
and also how much maintenance is involved???

also, i really want to buy these catfish at my local pet store. i don't remember the name of them but they go along the bottom of the tank and eat the algae. they were so cute and i wanted to get two of them (the name started with C and yeah they were catfish)

would this be possible. if not please let me know the best option as I'm only a beginner in fish
OOPS sorry it's not 5 litres
it's about 10
sorry about that i just measured it

No way. 5 litres is no where near enough space for any fish, let alone zebra danios. Plus you don't have a heater which is required for tropical fish as well as a good filter, and adequate space. You should upgrade to a 10 gallon tank ASAP, so your fish dont die.
Depending on the catfish, it could require 10 gallons plus, so do some research before buying your fish.
If you want to own the catfish along with the zebra danios, you would probably need 20 plus depending on the type of catfish. If your talking about corydoras than at minimum 10 plus gallons because they need to be kept in groups.

EDIT: Even 10 litres is no where near enough space..that is about 2.5 gallons, and that could fit one betta with a filter and a heater. However, that's pushing it. Betta's prefer 5 gallons up.
