I Have a 3/4 Ton Dodge V10. Will anything bad happen if i take off the cats?

Alright im putting duel out the side pipes on my truck, with a muffler. I asked the guy if i should take of the cats, and he said that your engine light will turn on and u might have prob. I just wanted to know from experience if i causes problems
 
I have a ford v10, and the engine light has never came on. I removed the cat and pat a flowmaster on , nothing bad has happened in 5 years.
 
it will just make the light come thats all but you will not find any shop that will be willing to remove the cats for you its a 20,000.00 doller fine in my state of VA to do so and you all so may not be able to get a state inspection sticker if your state requires one

just get high flow cats thay flow so well its just like not haveing one and it sounds like you dont have them
